Full job description
Perfect summer job for students who enjoy outside work! We are looking for hard-working, reliable individuals who enjoy physical work, outdoors. You will perform manual labour and equipment operation duties for high-end landscaping in the Thornbury / Blue Mountains / Meaford area, and golf course construction projects as needed. Golfshape Development Inc. specializes in golf course construction as well as landscaping services.
Additional travel may be required.
Duties: This position may include (but is not limited to):
- Grass cutting and trimming
- Earthworks such as removing and adding topsoil, mulch and gravel
- Golf Course Construction
- Garden clean up and plantings
- Laying patio and walkway pavers/stone
- Installing drainage and irrigation
- Small-scale construction, such as fences, sheds, pergolas, and bunkies
- Maintenance, weeding, trimming of grapevines
Requirements:
- Must have valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract and reliable transportation.
- Operate various tools, small engine equipment and vehicles including: mowers, trimmers, etc.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Physically fit and able to complete demanding outdoor work.
- Good communication with a positive and respectful attitude.
- Safety boots and gloves are required.
- Landscape and/or golf course construction experience is an asset.
- Punctual and available to work weekends and holidays if required.
- May be required to complete other tasks as needed.
- Some travel to job sites / golf courses may be required.
Pay rate will be based upon experience. Starting at $20 - $24 / hour.
