Overview
We are seeking a personable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a <PERSON>. Prior experience in retail, hair styling, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in the role.
Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients warmly and understanding their needs
- Assist clients with hair styling consultations and recommend suitable services and products
- Perform hair styling services, including cuts, color, and treatments, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and tools in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products by educating clients on their benefits and recommending appropriate items
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, checking clients in/out, and handling payments
- Promote ongoing client engagement through personalized recommendations and follow-up communication
- Support team members in maintaining a welcoming salon environment
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Customer service experience with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of sanitation practices related to hair styling and salon operations
- Ability to upsell products naturally while focusing on client needs
- Retail sales skills with an emphasis on building long-term client relationships
- Front desk experience is a plus for managing appointments and administrative tasks
- Basic understanding of hair styling techniques; certification or prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory
