Full job description

Our client in the south Etobicoke area is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Walkie Operator to join their team team.

Shift: Monday to Friday 6am-230pm OR 230pm-11pm

*Must be able to work in a cold environment with meat products*

Please note 70% of the time you will be doing GL/Production duties and 30% Forklift

Duties

  • Keep the production cooler organized and clean
  • Manage stock rotation and move products from tempering/freezing
  • Use the Walkie to transport and pick materials within the facility
  • Verify product conditions and expiration codes
  • Accurately document inventory and shipping transactions
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly inventory counts
  • Assist with packing, wrapping and labelling products
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous shipping/receiving experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating the Walkie
  • Must have a valid forklift licence
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing tasks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.60-$20.60 per hour
