Barista/All Rounder

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, experienced and efficient Barista/All Rounder to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with various operational tasks within a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee and food, have a customer focused attitude, possess strong multitasking skills, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. This position offers various growth and development opportunities as we are a new establishment and will be creating new roles over time.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
• Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service
• Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and dining space
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Manage cash register operations accurately during transactions
• Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth daily operations
• Support team members with serving food and beverages during busy periods

Skills

• Previous barista experience required
• Food handlers and First aid certification preferred
• Latte art preferred
• Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for engaging with customers and team members
• Flexibility to assist with various roles within the establishment as needed

There are two full-time shifts available- Monday to Friday 7 am to 3 pm or 2 pm to 10 pm.

Part-time shifts will be primarily on weekends and evenings, so weekend and evening availability is required.
