Barista/Foodista

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Barista/Foodista to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The ideal candidate has experience in the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a passion for creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety within a dynamic team setting.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS
• Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide outstanding customer service
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Prepare food items according to safety standards and quality guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
• Restock supplies and ensure the proper storage of food and beverages
• Manage time efficiently during busy periods to serve customers promptly
• Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with an outgoing personality
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order processing
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic understanding of serving, food preparation, and food industry best practices
