Dry Cleaner/Laundry Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Dry Cleaner/Laundry Operator to join our team. This role involves operating laundry and cleaning equipment to ensure garments and textiles are cleaned, pressed, and returned to the highest standards of quality. Duties

• Operate dry-cleaning machines to clean dresses, suits, coats, sweaters, and other garments.
• Operate laundry equipment to clean linens, draperies, cushion covers, sheets, blankets, towels, and related items.
• Operate specialized equipment used to clean and care for leather and suede garments.
• Inspect finished garments and articles to ensure they meet company quality standards.
• Identify and report damaged, stained, or improperly cleaned items.
• Assist with the assembly, tagging, and bagging of completed orders for customer pickup.
• Maintain dry cleaning equipment as per scheduled maintenance

Qualifications

• Strong verbal, written communication, and customer service skills.
• Previous experience in dry cleaning, laundry operations, garment care, or a related field is an asset.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of the dry-cleaning and laundry business.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with garment handling and machine operation.

Supervisory and Leadership Responsibilities :-

As training and experience develop, the successful candidate may be required to:

• Oversee the sorting and preparation of garments for cleaning.
• Assist with internal workflow scheduling and production planning.
• Train and mentor new staff members.
• Supervise dry-cleaning and laundry staff to ensure quality and productivity standards are maintained.
• Monitor compliance with workplace safety procedures and operational standards.
• Support management with daily operations and customer service requirements.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
