Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental milestones, and fostering a love for learning. This role requires excellent communication skills, classroom experience, and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. The Early Childhood Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, engage with parents, and implement age-appropriate curricula to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing individualized support as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's development and classroom activities
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and other documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities and share best practices
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing necessary accommodations
- Use computer skills to document student progress and communicate with families via digital platforms
- Manage classroom organization efficiently to ensure safety and smooth daily operations
- Demonstrate leadership in guiding children through structured activities while encouraging independence
Requirements
- GNWT ELCC Educator Certificate
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting, including classroom experience
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmental milestones
- Proficiency in English is mandatory
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or special needs compassionately and effectively
- Excellent organizational skills for managing lesson plans, assessments, and classroom materials
- Good computer operation skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Leadership qualities to guide children positively while maintaining a structured environment
- Writing skills for maintaining accurate records and communicating progress clearly

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
