Caregiver (Part-time)

About the Role

We are hiring Caregiver to support seniors in their homes. This role focuses on compassionate, respectful, non-medical care that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent. Assignments vary based on client needs and availability. This role delivers supportive, non-medical care in home and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
• Support safe ambulation and transfers as required
• Prepare meals and assist with light household tasks
• Provide medication and appointment reminders according to care plans
• Accompany clients on walks or appointments when required
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Communicate with supervisors and office staff
• Accurately record hours worked and care provided

Qualifications

• PSW certificate, caregiver training, or relevant experience
• Experience supporting seniors or individuals with cognitive or chronic conditions is an asset
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to hire
• Strong communication skills and compassionate approach
• Ability to work flexible schedules based on client needs

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and move safely
• Comfort working in various home environments
• Respect for client dignity and privacy

Transportation

• Ability to travel to client locations using personal transportation or public transit
• Some assignments may include accompanying clients for errands or appointments
