Job Description: Dining Room Server

Department: Food & Beverage – Ostin’s Restaurant

Reports to: Food & Beverage Management Team

Location: Parkway Social & Ostin’s Restaurant

Employment Type: Part-time


Position Summary:

At Ostin’s Restaurant, we are passionate about creating elevated yet approachable dining experiences. As a Server, you are the face of our restaurant and play a key role for providing attentive service, expert menu knowledge, and a warm, professional presence. Whether during a casual daytime lunch or a bustling evening service, Servers at Ostin’s uphold our reputation for quality, consistency, and hospitality excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional food and beverage service in a premium casual dining environment
  • Greet guests promptly and guide them through menu offerings, specials, and beverage pairings
  • Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond proactively to requests or concerns
  • Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service flow
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently
  • Uphold Ostin’s standards of service, presentation, and professionalism at all times
  • Support fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume or upscale casual dining restaurant
  • Smart Serve Certification required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability including: days, evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in premium casual or fine dining environments
  • Strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge
  • Ability to handle guest concerns professionally and confidently
  • Detail-oriented with a polished and professional appearance


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting and carrying trays and supplies (up to 25lbs)
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as setting and clearing tables
