Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile team member to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various aspects of construction, including but not limited to carpentry, roofing, and finishing work. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial, utilizing a wide range of skills and tools. The team member will be responsible for executing detailed tasks that require precision, safety awareness, and craftsmanship.

Duties

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
• Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete placement work with attention to structural integrity
• Install cabinets, flooring, tiles, siding, and other finishing elements with precision
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively
• Conduct roofing repairs or installations as needed for various projects
• Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure weatherproofing and durability
• Engage in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety protocols
• Support restoration projects by repairing or refurbishing existing structures with craftsmanship

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction-related roles such as carpentry, concrete, roofing, or general handyman work
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment relevant to construction tasks
• Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, tile laying, flooring installation, siding application, and drywall work
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse project environments
• Physical stamina for demanding physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing
• Open mindedness for use of new construction techniques and construction materials.
• Occasionally working away from home, with living out allowance per night.
• Valid Class 5 drivers licence.

Pay: $18.00-$40.00 per hour
