Housekeeper/Homemaker (Casual)

Position: Casual Homemaker

Hours: Up to 5 days/week, including every other weekend and holidays

Rate of Pay: $21.20.00/hour - $23.92 for Direcnt Care

Qualifications: Completion of secondary school. Ability to read, write and speak English, knowledge of WHMIS, infection prevention and control & ergonomics. Must be courteous and able to work unsupervised. Must be able to work as a team member and with the elderly. Six months related experience.

Responsibilities:

Performs weekly cleaning of client’s rooms, which includes but are not limited to dusting, vacuuming, bed-making cleaning of washrooms and mopping as per environmental cleaning standards

Performs cleaning of public areas and vacant rooms

Contributes to the effectiveness of the service plan by observing, communicating and recording appropriately.

Other duties as assigned.

Report issues and concerns to the Quality & Safety Supervisor.

Must have a Vulnerable Sector Police Check – not older than 1 year
