Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage services to clients, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role requires a dedication to customer care and a strong understanding of various massage techniques to meet individual client needs. The Massage Therapist will create a calming environment and ensure each client receives personalized treatment in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols.

Duties

Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, or other modalities.
Assess clients’ physical conditions and discuss their wellness goals to develop appropriate treatment plans.
Maintain a clean, safe, and relaxing environment for clients before, during, and after sessions.
Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend ongoing wellness practices.
Keep detailed records of treatments provided and client progress while respecting confidentiality.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort and address any concerns or special requests.
Stay current with industry trends and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills.

Requirements

Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state regulations.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy, physiology, and massage therapy techniques.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
Strong communication skills for explaining treatment procedures and listening to client needs.
Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a calming demeanor at all times.
Prior experience in a spa or wellness setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends may be beneficial but not mandatory.
