Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly part time Barista to join our team in the food industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers. This role involves assisting customers with their orders, ensuring a positive dining experience, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, welcoming experience by greeting customers and assisting with their orders.
• Share knowledge of menu items, specials, and recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
• Operate the POS system efficiently while accurately handling cash and card transactions in line with company procedures.
• Prepare coffee, beverages, and food items consistently according to recipes and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all health and safety regulations.
• Manage time effectively to deliver prompt, high-quality service during peak periods.
• Respond to customer questions, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and care.
• Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient café operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, including roles such as barista or server.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash effectively.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
