Farm Equipment Operator

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of equipment and machinery essential for our operations. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Operator will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and farm machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks related to irrigation and gardening.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks as required by operational needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
• Assist in the irrigation of fields as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Familiarity with planting and harvesting on a large scale.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Basic math skills for performing necessary calculations related to tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
