Medical Technician - Ophthalmology

Duties

As part of our team you will:

• greet each patient with a friendly and professional demeanor and convey the confidence, knowledge, and attention to detail that our patients have come to trust;
• conduct visual acuity testing;
• operate optical diagnostic equipment, including Visual Fields, OCT, and Fundus Photos;
• obtain detailed and accurate medical history for patient files;
• assist the front desk team as needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Ontario Secondary School diploma or equivalent as recognized in the province of Ontario
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to function independently as well as in collaboration with a team
• Ability to work accurately at a fast pace in a dynamic environment
• Strong customer service focus
• Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and flexibility
• Ophthalmology/optometry or medical experience : 1 year (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
