Full job description

Burgess Machine is looking for a new team member, we are looking for a CNC Operator or apprentice to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The Ideal candidate would have experience in operating various CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can read engineered drawings, ensure quality control, and work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. This position is open to all levels of experience and skill, wage will vary based on experience and skill.

Duties

Safely operate CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
Conduct quality control inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Collaborate with the management team to interpret blueprints and technical drawings for production runs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Assist with assembly, packaging, and warehouse operations as needed, including forklift operation.
Assist with cleaning, organization, and shop maintenance when required.

Requirements (Recommended)

A very strong computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
Proficient in using hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments for quality control purposes.
Basic math skills for calculations related to machining operations.
Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
