About the role:
Reporting to the Commercialization Manager, the Commercialization Specialist will be responsible for overseeing provincial product call submissions and new product launches. They will work closely with Sales and Marketing, Product Development, QA, and Production and will act as a central connector between the departments to ensure the success of new products throughout their life cycle. They will communicate with various stakeholders, suppliers, and provincial bodies with regards to product updates and questions/concerns.
Duties and responsibilities (include and are not limited to):
- Populate and submit product call forms and other necessary documents to the provinces.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing, and Product Development to generate a bill of materials for new products. Determine input and packaging needs as well as quantities for forecasting.
- Provide new product information to Production and QA and assist in new product roll out.
- Generate and submit all necessary product information to GS1 as well as coordinate with QA for packaging and label information, images, and templates.
- Track and report on new product launch timelines, requirements, and progress.
- Assist with building new tools, processes, and data bases to improve product launch efficiency.
- Potential for Ad hoc projects.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications/competencies:
- Attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Comfortable working with strict timelines and fast-paced environment.
- Flexible, adaptable, and open to change.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work both as a team and individually.
- Proficient with Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, and all Microsoft Suite software.
- Strong ability to multitask, problem solve, and prioritize.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the cannabis industry.
- Familiarity with provincial product call processes in the cannabis industry.
- 2 years experience working in a similar role (i.e. Project Management).
- Familiarity with GS1 Canada, GTIN standards and requirements is an asset.
- Familiarity with Cannabis products and packaging is a requirement.
Shift:
- Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with weekends and overtime as needed

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
