Cultivation Technician

The Cultivation technician will participate in production related activities in grow rooms as well as processing activities, based on training and business needs. Duties can include but are not restricted to activities from propagation to flowering stages, harvest to packaging.

Job Duties:

× Sanitation of grow rooms and equipment

× Plant maintenance in the grow rooms – defoliating, lollipop, trellis, etc.

× Harvest

× Destruction of Cannabis

× Processing activities including de-budding, trimming, and packaging

× Read and understand the standard operating procedures for the tasks assigned. Alert management/QA to any discrepancies

× Completing and preparing appropriate documents using Good Documentation Practices

× Calculation and reconciliation

× Effective communication with Management

× Assist in other duties as required

× Train other staff members as requested

× Adhere to all occupational health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

× Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent

× Grade 12 level English reading/writing

× One year manufacturing experience preferred (agriculture, horticulture, cannabis experience is considered an asset)

× Attention to detail

× Work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

× Ability to lift 50lbs

x Health Canada Security Cleared is an asset

Working Conditions:

x Weekend work is required

× Work is performed in mainly in a warm, humid environment

× Repetitive tasks that require manual dexterity

× This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils

× Will be in contact with Cannabis and its components (THC, CBD, pollen)

× Able to work flexible hours

× Starting Rate 17, goes up to 18 after probation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
