WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

Event & Operations Crew

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this position will work behind the scenes taking part in bringing the National Bank Open presented by Rogers and other events to life. This position requires a mix of experience, drive, and can-do attitude to join our event and operations team.

  • Assembly and disassembly of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers
  • Assembly and disassembly of Special Events ('The Bowl' Concert Series, York University Convocation, Pro and Amateur Tennis Tournaments)
  • General maintenance and overseeing the day-to-day operations of Sobey’s Stadium


WHO YOU ARE?

  • Experience working in the construction/general contracting industry is considered an asset (power tools, carpentry, carpet installation, commercial painting, forklift and aerial platform license and experience)
  • Capacity for manual and technical work and the ability to lift 30lbs without physical restriction
  • Energetic and able to work for long periods of time without fatigue
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of working as a team, independently and under minimal supervision efficiently
  • Embodies the values of Tennis Canada


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work term is between May 4th to August 28th, 2026 with the possibility of extension until December 2026
  • Shifts are between Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm with extended hours and weekends leading up to, and during events


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to wear personal protective gear throughout the day
  • Must be able to work in temperature variable environments and on concrete floors
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
