Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, drive sales, and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management expertise, and a passion for creating a positive shopping environment. This role involves managing staff, merchandising, inventory, and ensuring the store meets its financial and operational goals.
Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Manage merchandising efforts by implementing effective product placement, pricing strategies, and promotional displays to maximize sales.
- Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, inventory management, and reporting.
- Handle purchasing decisions, stock replenishment, and inventory control to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Monitor sales performance and analyze financial reports to achieve sales targets and optimize store profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and health standards.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, store management, or supervisory roles within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and basic math skills.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, marketing principles, and customer service excellence.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing candidates, training & development programs.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Administrative experience including budgeting, cash handling, bookkeeping, and phone etiquette.
- Strong negotiation skills with an understanding of purchasing processes.
- Leadership qualities such as problem-solving ability, adaptability, and strategic thinking. This position offers an opportunity to lead a vibrant retail team in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the overall success of the store through innovative management practices.
