CNC Machinist Job Description

Elite Machining Ltd. is a high-precision, make-to-order contract manufacturer, specializing in complex parts and assemblies built to customer specifications. With expertise in multi-task machining, vertical milling, wire-cut EDM, and deep hole boring (gundrilling), we are committed to delivering the highest quality and service to our clients.

We are currently seeking skilled CNC Machinists with experience in multi-axis CNC turning and milling to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in the production of precision components. Your main responsibilities will include:

Setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC lathe and milling machines (multi-axis)
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and work instructions
CNC programming knowledge
Assembling machined components and parts to tight tolerances
Using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) to verify part dimensions
Maintaining detailed inspection records and supporting quality control processes
Repairing, maintaining, and calibrating measuring instruments as needed
Experience with Multi-axis CNC turning centers, vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines and related high-precision manufacturing equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience in CNC machining (turning and milling)
Proficiency in machine setup and tooling selection
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Excellent communication in English (both written and verbal)
Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality documentation
Strong critical thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with computers for machine programming and reporting
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
