WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR
We are currently looking for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic Warehouse Coordinator for our Brooklyn Facility. Reporting to the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Adhere to all Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/EU-GMP).
- Receive shipments of stock and raw materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Inspect received goods and materials to ensure orders are accurate, complete and undamaged.
- Complete required receiving paperwork, documentation and damage reports (if necessary, including obtaining any required signatures from carrier drivers).
- Notify Quality Assurance Team of raw materials requiring QA inspection and release.
- Move, put away, store received goods and materials using proper lifting techniques and equipment (e.g. manual/electric pallet jack, movable stairs, carts).
- Maintain proper storage and security of raw materials, equipment and supplies, ensuring strict FIFO (First in-First out) practices are followed with all raw materials.
- Assist to ensure accurate and appropriate levels of inventory are retained and perform regular inventory counts for verification.
- Respond to all stock requisitions by picking and verifying items requested and delivering from warehouse to production facility, including corresponding with team members from all departments as required.
- Monitor and maintain stock/materials at secondary storage area in production facility.
- Maintain safe, secure and sanitary working conditions; ensure warehouse and related areas are clean and organized, including sweeping, vacuuming and mopping, disposing of garbage and cardboard (including making occasional trips to landfill as needed), shovelling and salting loading dock during winter months.
- Report any areas of safety or security concern or disrepair to the Purchasing & Warehouse Manager.
- Other reasonable duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Post-secondary education and/or relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience in operating manual and/or electronic pallet jack; forklift certification and experience is a definite asset.
- Safety shoes/boots are required to be worn at all times
- Knowledge of GMP/EU-GMP and GPP is an asset
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to act independently and as a team member
- Extreme attention to detail and accuracy including thorough documentation abilities
- Adaptability and flexibility / ability to prioritize activities and adjust priorities on short notice
- Excellent comprehension, communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labour tasks required for employment in a commercial scale indoor growing facility
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Job requires squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching and standing for extended hours
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license; previous experience operating a 5-ton commercial box truck
Other Details:
Location: Brooklyn, Queens County, NS (Required)
Compensation: Hourly pay to be determined based on skills and experience; paid vacation; group benefits.
Status and Hours: Permanent, full-time based on 37.5 hours per week
