Marketing & Events Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate community and company events throughout the year — including our annual AGD Trade Show, community fairs, seasonal events & more.
• Some events take place on weekends, so flexibility and a team-player attitude are key!
• Bring energy and creativity to every event — from concept and logistics to setup, promotion, and follow-up.
• Build strong relationships with community groups, local organizations + vendors, customers, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to create engaging marketing and PR materials.
• Support, prepare and coordinate regular marketing content such as weekly retail flyers, promotional signage, and product features.
• Support internal and external communications.
• Assist with digital marketing and social media, working closely with our existing Marketing Coordinator to ensure our stories and events reach the right audiences.
• Keep our websites and community pages up to date with news, promotions, and event information.
• Support marketing initiatives across all Powell’s Supermarket departments — including Nan’s Kitchen, the in-store bakery, and more.
• And of course, jump in wherever creativity, organization, and teamwork are needed most

Experience

• Proven experience in event coordination/marketing considered strong asset
• Familiarity with budgeting, catering coordination, and venue management
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with fundraising or community engagement initiatives is a plus.
• Effective time management skills combined with clear communication skills to collaborate across teams
