Job Summary
Looking to grow your career in a creative and fast-paced environment? Our Marketing Team is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented team player to help bring our events and marketing ideas to life. If you’re enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate community and company events throughout the year — including our annual AGD Trade Show, community fairs, seasonal events & more.
- Some events take place on weekends, so flexibility and a team-player attitude are key!
- Bring energy and creativity to every event — from concept and logistics to setup, promotion, and follow-up.
- Build strong relationships with community groups, local organizations + vendors, customers, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to create engaging marketing and PR materials.
- Support, prepare and coordinate regular marketing content such as weekly retail flyers, promotional signage, and product features.
- Support internal and external communications.
- Assist with digital marketing and social media, working closely with our existing Marketing Coordinator to ensure our stories and events reach the right audiences.
- Keep our websites and community pages up to date with news, promotions, and event information.
- Support marketing initiatives across all Powell’s Supermarket departments — including Nan’s Kitchen, the in-store bakery, and more.
- And of course, jump in wherever creativity, organization, and teamwork are needed most
Experience
- Proven experience in event coordination/marketing considered strong asset
- Familiarity with budgeting, catering coordination, and venue management
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with fundraising or community engagement initiatives is a plus.
- Effective time management skills combined with clear communication skills to collaborate across teams
