Full job description
Animation is one of our biggest offerings at Tripwire, and we love it. We can tell any story or explain any product and only be limited by our imagination.
The Animator role is primarily driven to tell story through motion graphics and design. You execute quality animation sequences through an impressive proficiency with digital tools in a collaborative team setting. You are responsible for the creation of character and scene animations that meets the originality, creative and technical quality standards of Tripwire Media Group. You have a great understanding of film and video as well as the technical problem-solving ability needed to get your scenes in seamlessly with other media.
Responsibilities
Internal
- Demonstrate mastery and broad range of animation abilities. This includes a deep understanding of the principles of animation, and how to best employ those principles to create performance that supports story goals
- Work closely with the whole team to create the aesthetic and technical goals and standards for animation to support the product vision
- Iterate and give feedback on the vision for projects through storyboards, animatics, etc.
- Work closely with Executive Producer, Producer and Account Manager, to communicate progress and scope/time management
- Exemplify in-depth knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (especially After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere).
- Assist on live action projects, with branded assets and VFX as needed.
- Knowledge in 3D programs, such as Cinema 4D is a bonus
- Effectively communicate art direction and story key players
- Ability to include and mix SFX and Music into videos
- Demonstrate, communicate and exemplify through quality of work, productivity, communication and professionalism to the team
- Ensure that products are delivered on time while achieving the highest visual quality possible
- Learn and help to troubleshoot technical pipelines and project workflows as they apply to project development
- May participate in pre-visualization and development of animated features in video media
- Anticipate needs of a project area early and raise awareness
- Use time effectively; focused and highly driven
- Communicate in a clear, positive and professional manner with team at all levels
- Successfully complete work on or ahead of schedule

Client Facing
- Take part in shoots on location in various capacities as needed (ie VFX supervision)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
