TITLE
Game Designer (RPG Systems)

LOCATION
Halifax, Nova Scotia (On-Site)
Candidates outside of Halifax will be expected to relocate to Halifax for the role. Red Diamond will act as a sponsor for a Canadian Work Permit for US candidates, if needed.

SCOPE OF ROLE
Red Diamond is seeking a game designer to work on digital and tabletop RPGs. You will work on designing power progressions, enemy encounters, seasonal events, and balancing core mechanics. This is an in-person, full-time role open to Canadian and US-based candidates.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Creative, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused
  • Kindness, empathy, and a desire to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to design compelling, mathematically-balanced RPG content
  • A passion for gaming and working at a game studio
  • College degree in a relevant field
  • This position is an in-person role located in Halifax, Nova Scotia

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience designing power progressions for digital RPGs
  • Prior experience designing systems and mechanics for tabletop RPGs
  • Ability to expand on existing lore and worldbuilding
  • Can sign either "Toss a Coin to your Witcher" or "Rains of Castamere" by heart
