Full job description

Welcome to Sushi Aboard, Vancouver’s very first bullet train sushi experience! Located in the heart of the Downtown West End on Denman Street, we offer a unique, high-tech dining concept where fresh sushi is delivered directly to guests via our signature express train system. Our mission is to combine innovation with traditional flavors to provide an unforgettable dining experience. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for energetic, dedicated team players to join our crew!

Responsibilities

  • Guest Service: Greet customers warmly and guide them through our unique bullet train ordering system.
  • Table Management: Ensure tables are cleared, sanitized, and reset promptly to maintain a smooth flow of service.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all orders delivered by the bullet train meet our quality standards and assist guests with any additional needs.
  • Communication: Work closely with the kitchen and floor team to provide a seamless experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Payment Processing: Handle transactions accurately using our POS system and tablets.

Requirements

  • Legal Status: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Certification: Valid Serve It Right certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred, but we are willing to train those with the right attitude.
  • Skills:

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

* Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine.

* Comfortable using computers and tablets for order management.
