Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to lead our retail team. This busy bakery position includes scheduling, training and covering of storefront staff, product packaging, and customer service. This job requires a person able to work some early mornings in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. We are looking for a reliable team player, with the ability to work independently. We provide a good, competitive starting wage with opportunity to increase quickly. This role requires strong leadership skills and effective communication. As a Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience while managing staff effectively.

Duties

  • Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead and motivate the team to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising products.
  • Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team performance.
  • Recruit, interview, and supervise staff members while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining high standards of store presentation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager with supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong time management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead by example while fostering teamwork within the store environment.
  • Strong customer service skillset.
  • Knowledge of bakery operations is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
