As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will apply your hands-on installation experience to support and execute AV and collaboration system deployments for clients across Canada. This role is suited for someone with a solid technical foundation who can work with increasing independence, contribute to project delivery, and continue building their skills in a collaborative field environment.

You will take on meaningful installation tasks, troubleshoot common technical issues, and support high-quality project outcomes while working alongside experienced technicians and project teams. Responsibilities

Project Delivery and Installation

Take an active role in delivering audio-visual and collaboration system installations in meeting rooms and other technology-enabled spaces. You will apply your hands-on experience to complete core installation tasks with growing independence while supporting consistent, high-quality project outcomes, including:

  • Perform AV installation tasks, including mounting displays, cameras, speakers, projectors, and related equipment
  • Install AV equipment racks, complete basic rack wiring, and support system connections
  • Pull, terminate, label, and test structured cabling while maintaining clean wire management standards
  • Read and interpret AV drawings, schematics, and basic architectural plans to support installation work

Technical Support and Execution

  • Configure and support video conferencing, teleconferencing, and collaboration systems under project guidance
  • Troubleshoot common AV system issues, including control systems, DSPs, cabling, and connected peripherals
  • Complete installation tasks to quality standards, project timelines, and client expectations

Collaboration and Communication

  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients on-site
  • Contribute to a safe, organized, and productive work environment
  • Support senior technicians with project execution and site coordination
  • Work with senior technicians and project teams to coordinate daily site activities and resolve field-level issues

Skills and Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in the AV industry, preferably with digital enterprise installations
  • Experience with AV installations, home theatre, residential setups, or digital signage is an asset
  • Basic understanding of AV systems, cabling, and installation practices
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting or operating control systems and DSPs is an asset
  • Experience with basic carpentry or framing is considered an asset
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel to client sites (approximately 25%, may vary based on business needs)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Capable of lifting and moving equipment as required

This is a current opportunity with an ideal hiring range of between $60,000 and $75,000 per year depending on skills and experience level.
