IATSE 210 Dawson Creek Permit

Job Type: Casual, Irregular/As-Needed

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated Stagehands to join our production team for two upcoming show dates at the Ovintiv Events Centre in Dawson Creek, with potential calls for future live events.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love live music, and want to help build massive arena productions from the ground up, we want you on our crew!

Work Dates & Immediate Recruitment Focus

We are specifically recruiting crew for the following event:

  • Bryan Adams Production:
  • Event Date: Friday, September 11, 2026
  • Calls: Morning Load-In & Post-Show Load-Out (Night Premium applies after Midnight)

Note: Applicants must have good availability for one or both of these dates. Successful applicants will be added to our local roster for potential future venue events.

Compensation & Premium Pay Rates

  • Stagehand Base Rate: $35.37 – $42.13 / hour (depending on classification/department)
  • Night Premium (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM) (1.5x): $53.06 – $63.20 / hour
  • 4-Hour Minimum Call: Every shift you are called in for guarantees a minimum of 4 hours of pay.

  • Hard Hat
  • High-Visibility Vest
  • Work Gloves
  • Long Pants
  • Long- or Short-Sleeved Shirts (sleeveless/tank tops are not permitted)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Stagehand Crew: Assist with the physical build, installation, and strike of stage structures, lighting rigs, audio stacks, and video walls. Pushing equipment boxes, running heavy cabling, and assisting touring crew leads on the arena floor.
  • Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all site safety protocols, crew lead instructions, and venue guidelines to keep the job site safe for everyone.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Availability: Must be available for the August 16 and/or September 11 show dates, including early morning load-ins or late-night load-outs.

  • Punctuality & Logistics: Venue schedules are extremely strict. You must have reliable transportation to the Ovintiv Events Centre, be punctual, and be ready to work when your call time starts.
  • Experience: Prior experience in stage production, concert audio/visual, event setup, or general construction is an asset, but not required for general floor hands. A strong work ethic and willingness to take direction are what matter most.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
