Full job description

Vision Security is seeking a strong, organized, and solutions-driven Director of Operations to lead and oversee our security operations. This role is ideal for a professional with solid leadership experience in private security, staffing, field operations, and client service. The Director of Operations will play a key role in ensuring service quality, operational efficiency, staff accountability, and client satisfaction across multiple sites and contracts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day security operations across assigned sites and contracts
  • Manage scheduling, deployment, and coverage for guards, supervisors, and special assignments
  • Supervise field teams and ensure high standards of professionalism, performance, and presentation
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and respond promptly to operational needs or concerns
  • Conduct site visits, quality control checks, and follow-ups with staff and clients
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of personnel
  • Ensure proper incident reporting, documentation, and operational compliance
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on growth, staffing strategy, and service improvements
  • Help resolve urgent operational issues, last-minute staffing gaps, and client escalations
  • Monitor KPIs, operational costs, and overall service delivery performance

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in operations management, preferably in the security industry
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Good knowledge of security operations, field supervision, and personnel coordination
  • Valid Ontario security licence is an asset
  • Access to a vehicle and ability to travel to sites as needed
  • Availability to respond to urgent situations outside regular hours when required
