Full job description

Job Summary

This position involves cleaning a rotation of various departments within the facility. Position is Monday-Friday with option of Sunday night as well.

  • Require good ability to perform repetitive activities while maintaining good attention to detail;
  • Must be able to work nights;
  • Must have good hand eye co-ordination;
  • Personal protective equipment supplied;
  • Employees to provide their own CSA approved steel toed rubber boots;
  • Full training of each position plus other food safety & health and safety training will be provided;
  • Follow lockout procedures as per training and make sure that all lockout equipment is used effectively. Also, workers should complete all required lockout paperwork;
  • Perform necessary cleaning to ensure that the production start-up procedure for the next morning is not delayed;
  • Clean your designated area as efficiently and quickly as possible, to allow time for any maintenance work that needs to be done;
  • Take responsibility for any equipment used to complete work. Clean it and return it to the designated areas at the end of the shift;
  • Follow all training and HACCP requirements for the department.
  • Report any problems to your supervisor (equipment malfunctions, policy violations, etc.);
  • Work in compliance with all applicable legislation and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency standards;
  • Hours of work will vary based on the amount of production for that day (typically 7:30pm - 4:30am);
  • All other duties as assigned.
