KLOVA Energy Solutions is a rapidly growing residential HVAC company focused on delivering high-quality heating, cooling, ventilation, and energy-efficient comfort solutions to homeowners throughout Nova Scotia.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to take ownership of our residential sales division and help build the next phase of our growth. This is a leadership role for someone who has successfully built, structured, and managed high-performing sales teams and is ready to make a significant impact.

This position offers substantial autonomy and authority, including responsibility for recruiting, training, managing, and restructuring our residential sales operation from the ground up.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing the company’s residential sales strategy, building a door-to-door lead generation team, recruiting and managing comfort advisors, and creating the systems, processes, and accountability structures required for long-term success.

This is a true management role with authority over hiring, training, performance management, and team structure.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute the residential sales growth strategy.
  • Create and implement scalable sales systems and processes.
  • Establish KPIs, sales targets, and accountability measures.
  • Develop sales presentations, scripts, and closing procedures.
  • Improve lead conversion rates and overall sales performance.

Team Building & Recruitment

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and train residential sales representatives.
  • Build and manage a door-to-door canvassing team.
  • Develop compensation and commission structures.
  • Create career development and advancement pathways.
  • Build a culture of professionalism, accountability, and performance.

Management & Operations

  • Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching.
  • Manage disciplinary actions and employee terminations when required.
  • Oversee daily sales activities and pipeline management.
  • Monitor and report on sales metrics and forecasting.
  • Collaborate directly with ownership on growth initiatives and strategic planning.

Training & Development

  • Create onboarding and training programs.
  • Conduct field coaching and ride-alongs.
  • Improve closing ratios and sales effectiveness.
  • Mentor future sales leaders within the organization.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 5 years of sales management experience.
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams.
  • Experience recruiting, training, and developing sales professionals.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience implementing sales systems and performance metrics.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

  • Residential HVAC industry experience.
  • Home services, construction, roofing, solar, windows, or direct sales experience.
  • Experience managing door-to-door sales teams.
  • CRM management experience.
  • Strong understanding of residential replacement sales.
