Position Overview

Norstar Industries is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and elevate its Agricultural Division. This role is about building, leading, and strengthening a sales team that can consistently deliver growth and performance.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for setting direction, establishing accountability, and developing a team of experienced sales professionals. This individual will step into an established group with strong tenure and relationships and will be expected to earn credibility through leadership, sound judgment, and a clear, consistent approach to performance management.

Success in this role requires a leader who can balance respect for what has worked with the ability to implement structure, clarity, and forward-thinking sales strategies. This is a high-impact leadership position with direct influence on Norstar's continued growth in the agricultural market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the agricultural sales team to improve performance, consistency, and accountability
  • Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance expectations aligned with company growth goals
  • Build trust and credibility with a tenured sales team while driving alignment and continuous improvement
  • Create and implement structured sales processes, reporting, and forecasting practices
  • Partner cross-functionally with production, customer service, and leadership to ensure alignment and execution
  • Identify opportunities for market expansion, product positioning, and revenue growth
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance, providing regular feedback and coaching to the team
  • Support a culture of professionalism, integrity, and strong customer relationships across all sales activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, with at least 3-5 years in a sales leadership or management role
  • Background in agriculture, manufacturing, or equipment sales strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Experience implementing sales structure, KPIs, and performance management systems
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence, build trust, and lead through change
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate goals into actionable plans
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
