Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and kitchen experience, and a passion for food preparation and service. As the Head Chef, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety standards, and manage a team of culinary professionals to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.

Duties

  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation.
  • Oversee all aspects of food service, from menu planning to presentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs while minimizing waste.
  • Train and mentor team members in culinary techniques, safety protocols, and customer service skills.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management on menu development, special events, and customer feedback.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and leadership within the team.

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Solid knowledge of restaurant management principles and food industry standards.
  • Experience with food handling safety protocols and compliance with health regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and front-of-house teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous restaurant experience with a focus on high-quality cuisine is preferred.
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
