Material Handler

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials and inventory within our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, operate heavy equipment safely, and possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory control operations.

Responsibilities

· Unload incoming shipments, inspect for damage, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.

· Pull, pack, and stage materials and finished products to meet production and distribution schedules.

· Monitor stock levels, track materials using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and conduct routine cycle counts.

· Coordinate with fitters to facilitate flow of materials.

· Ensure new jobs have the necessary stock available.

· Safely utilize equipment such as pallet jacks, overhead cranes, forklifts, hoists, and powered carts

· Other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience

· Secondary school diploma.

• Usually 2–3+ years of experience in manufacturing, and material handling.
• Proven ability to work under ASME code requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communications, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
