Camp Manitou is hiring a Camp Photographer for Summer 2026, a unique opportunity for a talented photographer or visual storyteller to spend the summer outdoors, immersed in an incredible community and capturing the moments that define camp life.

This is a highly independent, creative position where you become the visual storyteller of the summer, documenting everything from waterfront action shots and major camp-wide events to candid moments, performances and the everyday magic of camp life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture daily camp life through candid, action and event photography
  • Photograph major programs, competitions, performances and traditions
  • Edit, organize and curate large volumes of photos efficiently
  • Create 3 polished slideshow presentations for special camp events
  • Collaborate with camp leadership on select social media and storytelling content
  • Independently manage your shooting schedule and editing workflow

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous photography experience required
  • Strong eye for storytelling, candid moments and action photography
  • Adobe Lightroom experience strongly preferred
  • Must bring a laptop capable of photo editing
  • Professional camera equipment is an asset, though camera equipment can be provided by camp if needed
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to live on-site for the duration of the contract (June 20 - August 13)
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
