PT Baker and Prep Cook

Job Overview:

The HOME Restaurant in Maple Ridge is seeking a part time team member to assist with the preparation of our famous homemade soups and pies amongst other things.

Duties:

-Taking care of the full baking job when our main baker requires a day off.

-Prepare and bake cakes, pies and other desserts according to recipes and quality standards.

-Preparing soups, cutting vegetables, slicing meats and various other food prep.

-Cleaning station and equipment

-Assisting the other cooks and kitchen team with any of their duties as required.

-Work efficiently to meet productions schedules and customer deadlines

- Proven experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in a restaurant or kitchen setting

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety principles and procedures
• Familiarity with food handling and preparation
• Must be available weekends
• Reliable, punctual and able to work
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and decorating methods
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
