Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. This is a full-time, days position. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will prepare and serve beverages, bakery and gelato items, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, cashiering, and food safety while providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions about products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations.
• Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
• Restock supplies as needed and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
• Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment for all patrons.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
• Ability to perform food preparation, serving, and basic math calculations accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
