Job Description: Partners in Advanced Cardiac Evaluation (PACE Cardiology), located in Newmarket, are a group of cardiologists affiliated with Southlake Regional Health Centre, who offer expert care in electrophysiology, atherosclerotic heart disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, general cardiology, and cardiac diagnostics. PACE Cardiology’s outpatient research team conducts and coordinates Phase II-IV clinical trials in numerous fields of cardiac diseases. Currently, we are excited to bring on a Clinical Research Assistant who can work for us on a FULL-TIME basis. Please submit PDFs only.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Science/or Health Science preferred. 1-2 years clinical research experience or equivalent certification (i.e. CCRP). Knowledge of medical terminology (specifically cardiology & cardiac medications). Knowledge of general research procedures and regulatory requirements is an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral). Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. Ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with MS Office and Electronic Data Capture systems. GCP, Division 5, and IATA certification will be an asset. Good command of the English language

Responsibilities: Help with administrative tasks to ensure each study material is highly organized. Photocopy, fax, maintain study binders, create source documentation, and replenish subject folders for each study. Maintain and organize laboratory supplies. Process bloodwork and ship specimens to respective laboratories. Contact subjects to book screening visits including all reminder calls for study visits. Perform collection, interpretation, and recording of data in accordance with sponsor guidelines and standards. Maintenance of study medication accountability, completions of adverse event reports, and other documents as required. Sort and organize data electronically using Electronic Data Capturing systems and physically using source documentation. Screen for eligible study subjects using Electronic Medical Records as per study protocol. Train on all required training activities according to each study protocol. Other duties as assigned
