Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright

Job Description

Evolution Wheel is looking for a full-time Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright with extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance. This individual will work directly with the company’s Production Manager and ensure that manufacturing equipment is properly setup and maintained.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Performing troubleshooting and repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with minimal supervision.

· Adjusting equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems; operating tools to fabricate parts during repair.

· Participating in Preventative Maintenance programs and/or helping create programs for new equipment.

· Performing facility maintenance as required.

· Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment.

· Conducting safety checks on company equipment.

· Complying with all safety regulations and policies.

· Interpreting technical manuals and drawings.

The successful candidate should possess the following skills:

· Minimum 3 years of Mechanical Maintenance work experience

· Extensive electrical and mechanical knowledge, and a strong understanding of pneumatic controls, PLC and hydraulic systems

· Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills

· Strong sense of urgency with proven record of following through to meet deadlines

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision

· Ability to work in a team-based environment

· Experience with hydraulic press, plasma cutting tables, plate roller, welding and powder coating equipment would be an asset

· FANUC training would also be an asset

Additional Job Information

Employees will be required to provide their own steel toe boots and wear them at all times. All other PPE for this position will be provided by Evolution Wheel.
