Sign Installation Tech

PM Signs is one of Western Canada's leading custom signage companies. We design, manufacture and install all types of exterior and interior signage and other specialty elements for businesses in North America.

As a Sign Installer you will have the experience to step in and work with our existing team. Your ability to work with a team and attention to detail must be impeccable.

Job responsibilities:

• read and follow a design layout provided by our in-house design team
• perform proper rigging and lifting techniques
• utilize various types of hydraulic hoists and cranes
• Various fastening and securing technique
• Vinyl material preparation and manipulation including application, cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining
• Finishing tasks such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production/installation
• Manage multiple, simultaneous project management responsibilities
• Execute routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary
• Build and sustains effective relationships with team members in all other departments

We are looking for a candidate who....

• Has a great attitude and is ready to learn new skills in a high paced and creative environment
• Will follow all company policies and procedures
• Has a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possesses basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa)
• Has the ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 50 or more pounds repetitively throughout the workday and the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motions
• A Class 5 license is required (air brakes would be an asset)
• SSIT/ECTP Certification
• Mechanical skills and problem solving ability

*** Previous sign manufacturing/installation experience will be considered a definite asset

*** Compensation rate based on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
