Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our busy Medical Imaging Centre. The MOA plays a key role in ensuring efficient daily operations while delivering exceptional patient service in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment. This position involves coordinating patient appointments, preparing patients for imaging procedures, managing administrative duties, and supporting radiologists and technologists with workflow coordination.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in healthcare administration, with strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent patient care and support.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients during check-in and check-out procedures
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for various imaging modalities including X-ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, and MRI
  • Communicate with patients regarding their imaging appointments, preparation instructions, and follow-up requirements
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate patient records, requisitions, and medical documentation
  • Verify patient information, health cards, and insurance details as required
  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure timely imaging services and minimize wait times
  • Support radiologists and technologists with administrative workflow and patient coordination
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy legislation and clinic policies
  • Ensure reception and clinical areas remain organized, clean, and professional
  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a medical clinic, diagnostic imaging centre, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with EMR/PACS/RIS systems is considered an asset
  • Proficiency with computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Medical Office Assistant certification or related healthcare administrative training is an asset

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
