Code Electric is a leading manufacturer of Electrical Enclosures, Power Distribution Kiosks, Custom Metal Fabrication, Cable Tray and C3 Commercial Metal Planters. We have a solid 47-year history in B.C., and have an exciting opportunity to add to our Accounting Team.

If you are experienced in bookkeeping / accounting and are a positive, self-motivated diligent individual who is organized, trustworthy and has excellent communication skills, then this position is a great fit. This is an in office position and at Code, we focus on providing an excellent team and working environment. 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proficiency in accounting software -- Sage and ERP system
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting / bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in MS Office package, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in payroll is a must
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles: AP, AR, reconciliations

Job Duties

The duties associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using accounting software--Sage and Epicor
  • Record and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist with account reconciliation processes and maintain accurate financial documentation
  • Process credit card receivables
  • Payroll preparation for union and non-union – including taxable benefits
  • Assist with bank deposits
  • Weekly cheque run and making online payments
  • Reconciling credit card transactions
  • Assisting in Month end and Year end procedures
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and assist onboard new vendors
