ABS Machining is a leading custom fabrication and manufacturing company specializing in manufacturing and production of large, complex welded assemblies ranging from 10,000 lbs to over 200,000 + lbs. Our team of professionals works in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, producing some of the most technically demanding and precision-engineered weldments in Canada.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a general labourer to assist with the Fabrication department.

Position based in Mississauga/Burlington.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, safe and organized workplace
• Clean work areas, machinery, and equipment
• Load, unload, and move raw materials, tools, as needed
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely
• Measure and sort materials according to instructions
• Package and prepare products as instructed
• Follow health and safety procedures, including use of PPE
• Support warehouse and shop operations as needed
• Lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks
• Participate in routine housekeeping duties
• Work collaboratively with the fabrication team
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements (CCOHS/WHMIS).

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years experience in (heavy industry preferred)
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards
• Good physical stamina, attention to detail and discipline (standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks required)
• Reliable attendance and teamwork skills ; able to work independently and as part of a team
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is preferred
• Able to work overtime and shift work
• Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
