Parts Technician - Lead
Drive project success through reliable parts support, ensuring quality, timeliness, and strong supplier collaboration every step of the way.
What You’ll Be Doing – and Why It Matters:
As the Parts Lead, you’ll take ownership of our parts operation, managing key distributor and supplier relationships while ensuring accurate, on-time support for both our Field Service team and customers. You’ll lead the Parts team to deliver high service levels, respond to inquiries with professionalism, and keep operations running smoothly through strong coordination, accountability, and attention to detail.
Your Impact Will Include:
- Deliver exceptional customer service through clear, professional communication with the Field Service team
- Promptly action parts requests and ensure accurate, timely fulfillment
- Support service quoting and invoicing with responsive, high-quality engagement
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Parts team, fostering accountability and performance
- Partner with Field Service Leads and Managers to support competitive pricing strategies and drive business growth
- Promote a customer-first culture through coaching, performance management, and teamwork
What Your First Year Looks Like:
First 90 Days: Build a strong understanding of parts operations by managing orders, responding to requests promptly. Establish working relationships with internal teams and vendors while ensuring accurate, timely parts delivery and excellent customer service.
First 6 Months: Strengthen parts operations by managing supplier/strategic vendor relationships and identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving processes to increase efficiency and service quality.
First 12 Months: Lead parts operations through managing supplier relationships, and vendor partnerships, including leading strategy conversations for increased leverage, negotiating pricing agreements, and overall collaboration driving in increased alignment and support.Provide leadership to the Parts team, support budgeting, and foster a culture focused on safety, quality, and exceptional service.
What You Bring
- Journeyman diploma or diploma in commerce, business, or a related field or three years of supervisory experience or experience in a leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of natural gas compressor systems, process and refrigeration
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, vendors, and trades, build lasting relationships, and effectively lead, coach, and mentor others
