Line Cook

Job Summary
SAMBAL is a modern Indonesian bistro at The Danforth We are currently hiring part time Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Asian cuisine is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and chefs in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
• Support the cooking staff during meal service by preparing ingredients and plating dishes.
• Participate in cleaning tasks at the end of shifts to maintain a hygienic kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Line Cook in a restaurant or professional kitchen
• Familiarity with Asian or Southeast Asian cuisine (preferred)
• Experience with wok (preferred)
• Culinary school diploma or training (preferred)
• Food Handler Certification
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
