Job Summary

Vivacity Technologies is a fast-growing tech company delivering high-impact SaaS solutions and specialized IT consulting services. We are seeking a visionary, client-facing Head of IT Consulting to take full ownership of our established consulting practice.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the driving force behind our consulting delivery, strategic growth, and team expansion. You will serve as a trusted vCIO (Virtual Chief Information Officer), senior project manager, and strategic advisor to our core clientele, which includes municipal governments, regional districts, and First Nations communities across British Columbia and Western Canada. This is a high-visibility, high-agency role requiring a blend of deep technical analysis, empathetic account management, and business development acumen.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Practice Growth

  • Own the Profit & Loss and strategic roadmap for the IT Consulting business unit, ensuring profitability and alignment with Vivacity's overarching goals.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and spearhead proposals for new public sector and First Nations contracts.
  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of IT analysts, consultants, and project coordinators as the practice expands.

Client Delivery & vCIO Services

  • Act as the lead vCIO for key clients, developing multi-year IT roadmaps, digital transformation strategies, and capital budget planning.
  • Oversee and deliver complex IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are on time, within scope, and aligned with modern security practices.
  • Conduct and support comprehensive IT assessments, infrastructure analyses, and cloud readiness reviews for organizational ecosystems.

Relationship & Account Management

  • Maintain significant face-time with clients across Interior BC, building deep, trust-based relationships with municipal leaders and First Nations administration.
  • Translate highly complex technical jargon into clear, actionable business outcomes for non-technical stakeholders and community councils.
  • Act as an escalation point for client satisfaction, ensuring Vivacity consistently delivers premium service.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Domain Knowledge

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in IT consulting, senior project management, or directory-level IT leadership.
  • Proven track record working directly with municipal public sectors and/or First Nations bands and corporations in British Columbia.
  • Demonstrated experience acting in a vCIO or IT Advisor capacity for mid-market or public enterprises.

Technical & Ecosystem Proficiencies

  • Deep architectural and administrative familiarity with both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace ecosystems (migration, governance, and security).
  • Strong understanding of modern IT infrastructure, cloud landscapes (AWS/Azure), hybrid networks, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMP, Agile, or equivalent practical experience).

Core Competencies & Attributes

  • Interior BC Residency: Based in (or willing to relocate to) the BC Interior, with the ability to travel regularly for on-site client engagements.
  • Exceptional Communication: Masterful presentation skills, able to command a boardroom or a community council meeting with empathy and clarity.
  • High Cultural Competency: Respectful understanding of the unique governance structures, histories, and priorities of First Nations communities.

What Vivacity Offers

  • Autonomy & Agency: The freedom to shape and scale a business unit with a direct line to the founder.
  • Impact: The opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure and technology projects that directly improve local communities and First Nations organizations.
  • Compensation: A base salary of $90,000 – $135,000 CAD paired with a performance-driven bonus structure of 10% – 25%.
  • Health & Lifestyle Support: Extended health and dental coverage for you and your family and 3 weeks minimum of paid annual vacation alongside a flexible, trust-based hybrid work environment.

Pay: $90,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
