Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a welcoming and efficient dental environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative team dedicated to improving patients' oral health and overall well-being. Candidates must be licensed and experienced in delivering high-quality dental hygiene services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
  • Conduct oral health assessments and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
  • Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software system
  • Provide guidance on preventive care and recommend appropriate treatments or follow-up appointments
  • Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment
  • Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow

Skills

  • Proficiency using Dentrix
  • Experience with a wide range of patients. Our practice is a general dentistry practice, we see paediatric patients through to seniors.
  • Our focus is to create a positive patient experience
  • Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and compassionately
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $58.00-$65.00 per hour
