CNC Operator

Manufacturing Company in Ottawa is seeking an experienced CNC Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC equipment, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient production processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machinery and equipment
• Maintain equipment, tooling, and workstations in safe working condition
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Input, edit, and interact with CNC machine controls and programs
• Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment or process issues
• Complete post-processing operations, including deburring, finishing, and assembly as required
• Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments and gauges
• Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements
• Perform routine maintenance and report equipment concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines

Qualifications

• Previous CNC operating experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Familiarity with CNC controls and machine programming concepts
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
• Ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training
