Full-time Educational Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance student learning experiences. This role involves working closely with students, including those with disabilities, to foster a positive and inclusive educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to helping students succeed academically and socially.

Duties

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities and classroom management
• Support students individually or in small groups, particularly those with special needs or disabilities
• Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources
• Provide one-on-one assistance to students requiring additional support in subjects such as Math and early childhood education
• Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
• Support students’ social-emotional development through positive interactions
• Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure student progress and well-being
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other activities

Experience

• Prior classroom experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus
• Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and patience are essential for success in this role
• Experience in teaching or tutoring, especially in Math or other core subjects, is beneficial
