MTBM Labourer/ Pitt Bottom Experience

Location: Burlington and GTA

Responsibilities:

• Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of Micro Tunnel Boring Machine (MTBM) systems
• Perform labour duties at pitt bottom, including material handling and site preparation
• Support pipe jacking and slurry system operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Follow all health and safety regulations, especially in confined spaces
• Assist mechanics and operators with tools and equipment as required
• Monitor and report any equipment issues or safety hazards
• Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to site procedures

Qualifications

• Proven experience working at pitt bottom in microtunneling or shaft environments
• Previous MTBM or tunneling experience is a strong asset
• Valid confined space certification (required)
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and PPE requirements
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in tight, underground conditions
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and in varying weather conditions
